OOTD Central London Day Trip

Absolutely loved pairing my plain black skater skirt from New Look, with a peach long armed lace top from Krisp (perfect with a lot of outfits and such a versatile piece) with a plain black vest from H&M underneath, as well as grey vertical lined tights, with a pair of black booties (not in the pic, but also from New Look teens section, as my feet are only size 2 :P:! Accessories-wise, I was wearing my purse from Next, and sunglasses from Boots as well as a light weighted scarf, also from New Look.

It was such an easy outfit to wear, and the weather was perfect that day, I didn't need any extra layers :D

New Spring Launches (Maybelline NY, Bourjois Paris, L'oreal Paris)

Here are a few things I picked up with my Boots Points in the 3 for 2 offer that they are having at the moment (offer ends 13 May 2014)...

This new Bronzer Blusher Duo by Maybelline NY is perfect for this Spring, bringing a beautiful shimmery Bronzing powder (10 Bronzed Tropics), with a lovely palm leaf design on the side as the Blusher. The Bronzer has shimmers all throughout, but not so bad that you can't use it all over and even as a contour shade for the face... The Blusher is also perfect to give that sun blushed, glow from within look with peachy corally pink tones, also a good colour combination for medium to dark toned skin.

There is a slight con to this product, and that is if you have sensitive skin, or if you're not used to perfumed products, this may definitely be a big NO NO product. It is highly perfumed and can be quite over-powering, although saying that, now that I have been wearing the bronzer/ blusher, the smell has subsided, or it's just that I am used to it now :P Pigmentation is pretty good, and definitely buildable.

This new eyeshadow Quad, is also another perfect addition for Spring. The peachy corally colours help lift the tired eyes, to bring brightness on those cold Spring days.

As soon as I saw this palette, I knew I had to have it, even though I may have many eyeshadow palettes as it is, this had to be one added to my collection, as it will be perfect for all occasions, and for everyday use!

I have been loving applying peachy toned eyeshadows on the little, to brighten the eyes, and it looks like this palette has the perfect ones to do so.

The darkest shade is a great colour, for a maroon smokey eye, which can be used for some outer corner definition and also for lining the lower lash line. It also reminds me of Rimmel London's Exaggerate Waterproof Eye Definer in Perfect Plum, which I seem to run out of all the time, therefore this eyeshadow, will be a great replacement for the lower lash line.

The swatches below are after one swipe.

This product by Bourjois Paris, is also another one, I've had my eyes on since the new Spring launches. Insta dry drops that work like magic that are 2 times faster at drying you nail polish once it's been applies. For anyone, who likes to change up their manicure, quickly and easily, with no fuss, or even for those who like a little nail art, and don't want their nail art work to go to waste, as soon as a top coat is applied. :D

back to basics (smartphoneless for a few days) reminds me of down with love.... how, you say?

So guess what, yesterdays antics have lead me to, that is being one without my smart phone :S

Unfortunately the screen has gone blank, and I now have to wait for my insurance to get it all sorted, but wait, not all is lost, since I have my good old LG phone (note the blatent sarcasm :|) (not even sure what model it is).... Just an old basic phone that I can use to call and text with (thats about as smart as it gets :( )!! I shouldn't complain though, as it'll end up happening again to me in the near or distant future (due to good ol friendly karma's :P)

So I was texting my friend (again without a touch tone phone, it can be slightly tedious, and there is way too much sound (more like what I'm hearing now as I type this out), and it reminds me of one of my all time favourite Taiwanese dramas; Down With Love.

It's in the first episode where Yang Guo (Ella Chen) is trying to call her sister (Yang Duo), but Yang Duo hangs up and texts her and hangs up as minutes are too expensive (:P sounds like Gujarati mentality, something I can relate to :P), and texts her. She's about to send her first text, and her sister has already sent her two in that, as if reading Yang Guo's mind  (the fact is, I wish my phone wasn't broken and unuseable, so I wouldn't have to text in such a way, as I feel like a tortoise when I'm texting just like Yang Guo, and that is by texting using an old non-touch phone #firstworldproblems :P)...

But I'm reminded by such a great dram, and glad I can always go back to watching such a beautiful story that is, Down With Love.

LEEDS Roundhay Park ~ Beautiful setting for a photoshoot!

So this trip wasn't as I had planned...

We went up to visit my cousin at Leeds University and I was meant to vlog and take lots of pictures, which I did capture a few, and I shall share below, but the first day when we left to visit the city centre, I took my camera with me, but totally forgot to take my 20 GB SD card with me from home. :O

As soon as I got my camera out in the middle of the city centre, and realised that I had forgotten my SD card, I felt so lost without technology (as I had also left my phone to charge in his room, so I couldn't even share anything via instagram, oh the woes of first world problems :P). I wanted to capture all the sights and sounds, but it wasn't meant to be for the first day! I had left a 4 GB card at my cousins halls also, so I knew that on Sunday I would at least be able to take some pictures, though it was limited. Although I'd say I captured quite a few lovely pictures of Roundhay Park in Leeds...

This is the outside of my cousin's halls, the location was pretty epic :D

The beginnings of a beautiful adventure :P

Selfies have to be taken, it is a 21st Century must :D

I was just taking some trick pics :P

This was one of many shots taken that day, including me leaping off (trying to be free like a bird) but ending up in a heap on the floor, seconds later from my lift off :P hehe
This was the best one I took of my cousin, and she jumped really well :D she looks like a soaring bird through the sky hehe!
Obviously I didn't take the ones of myself, and I didn't jump as gracefully as my cousin did hehe!

Such a cute little soggy doggy awww!

This one is now my background pic for my phone! Absolutely breathtaking!
I love the trees silhouettes against the sky! Those are my most favourite pictures to take!
